These are my entries for the Instagram challenge Folk Tale Week. The first is my badge to announce I'm joining in.
Path ~ This is inspired by a character on an important quest in my own story - ‘The Apothacer’s Emporium’. She’s on the hunt for Jiraiya to hopefully get her hands on some good ol’ toad magic for a very noble cause.
Darkness ~ This is inspired by folklore of the Philippines where children would go missing in the forest and turn up again years later with the exact same appearance and no memory of there they had been.
Home ~ Kodama at dawn ~ “In ancient times, Kodama were said to be Kami, nature deities that dwelled in trees, able to move nimbly through the forest.” I love Japanese folklore so this is a home for Kodama, the tree spirits.
