Eloise Cummings

Hiya, I'm Ellie!

I’m a Leeds based freelance writer, illustrator and maker. My work aims to celebrate the beauty of nature and the things that bring us joy, both abstract and figuratively. You’ll most often find me creating illustrations and writing fantastical fiction for children and the crossover genre. I am most inspired by folklore, fantasy, nature and dreams.

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing and produce my own illustrations and gifts alongside studying and working. Some examples of the products I sell are prints, sticker sheets, clay decorations, fabric wrapping and accessories.

Trying to reduce the impact of extreme consumerism has always played a key role for me throughout any creative process. I care about our world and the people in it, so I reuse, recycle and up-cycle whenever I can. Every effort is made to ensure each products journey is as eco conscious as possible from start to finish.

My prints are printed on recycled paper stock which is uncoated and fully recyclable. I use small local printing houses that provide collection or low carbon delivery services. I also make some products by hand, like the iPad cases, handbags and more, and these are all made to order to avoid unnecessary wastage. They are made from fabric scraps, selvedges and repurposed fastenings from my eco conscious family sewing studio (Ivy Red, Otley).
